Lately…

This is just going to be a general “what’s going on with me” kind of post with no central theme. Sometimes you just need one of those!

So in no specific order, just random stuff I want to say:

Recent changes: In case you didn’t already know, I deleted my other blog, Howling at the Crossroads. It just felt like the right decision. There was just too much personal info on it that I didn’t feel comfortable sharing any longer. I wanted to devote my time to this blog that some how “feels” more me anyway. I’d like to actively get away from discussing too much personal woo stuff (not all, just too much). I’ve also changed the headline of this blog to “Exploring the boundary between Druidry and Witchcraft” to further highlight the fact that I pretty much explore both systems equally and both are important in my current spiritual work.

Comments: I wanted to thank everyone who takes the time to comment on my blog. Seriously you guys are awesome! I sometimes get a bit overwhelmed with life and don’t get to comment back as much as I’d like (my internet time is limited), but I love hearing from everyone! One of the things that actually keeps me blogging is interacting with others of like mind, given that I’m solitary and don’t currently have a “community” besides the online friends I’ve made along the way. I’ve always felt the people who comment here have honest advice and great opinions that make me honestly think. So if I don’t comment back, please don’t think it wasn’t appreciated. I take time to read each and every comment and sincerely appreciate them.

Deity Relationships: I’m actively going to be taking a “to be silent” approach from now on regarding my deity relationships. I’ll still be talking about my deities ( especially Hekate), just not going into the super personal stuff too much because it’s so fluid that I don’t want to feel like I have to give a play by play every time something changes. I’m holding my cards closer to my chest these days. While Druidry is pretty open, my Witch side is taking precedence on this one. Silence is golden.

The Pagan Blogging Project: I’m going to attempt doing the pagan blogging project! It looks like I’m a week late in starting so I’m going to try to do two entries this week to catch up. I’m not good at seeing these things through honestly (*cough* the thirty days of Druidry…), but I like the idea of keeping the blog moving with at least one thing per week about my practice! It sounds honestly fun, so I’m throwing my hat in the ring.

The Spirit of Druidry: Maybe I’m being a bit over ambitious but I’ve been wanting to do a post about how I PERSONALLY define and practice Druidry. However I can’t do it in just one post, it’s just too big a subject. So I’m planning on doing a series (if I have time) explaining the various things that I think of when I think “Druid”. I’m naming it “The Spirit of Druidry”.

I am very excited to read what has to come. I am especially excited to read the spirit of druidry, since I am trying to figure out my druid practice too. What is the pagan blogging project, I have not heard of this? It sounds like something I would like to try.

Oh Gods, I’m so behind on the 30 Days of Druidry thing…

I sometimes talk about my relationships to deities, but I usually keep the intimate details quiet – and I predominately identify with Druidism. It just seems like talking about secrets between friends. You don’t broadcast everything. Leave it at “I met up with so-and-so at a cafe and we had some fun. I think we’re better friends now.” No need to give a transcript. 🙂

Yeah me too! I think I did two of them! ;0

Oh I totally agree with you there, 100%. I don’t mind talking about the “round about” stuff, but I hate going into too much detail. I think the transcriptless approach is best!

Super excited to hear your views on Druidry. Really looking forward to that post series. Especially as I just started taking a Bardic course. Given that I love blogging I might have to start either the Thirty Days of Druidry or the Pagan Blog Project. I’ll try not to be too ambitious and do both at the same time. Given I don’t have much experience with Druidry I think I’ll tackle the Pagan one first, guess I better get going!

And I totally wish I had your problem with comments on my blog 😛 But I’m so grateful for the interaction here.

Thank you Aynfean! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the 30 days of Druidry or the PGB! Your taking the bardic course? That’s awesome, Good luck! I hope you enjoy it!

Yeah I decided that I needed to start implementing some sort of direction. While I don’t think the strict path of the druid is for me there are so many elements that appeal and I think would work well with my current Path as a hedgewitch.
